Cynthia Hamilton, CGA |
Accounting has been part of Cynthia's life since childhood
as her father was in the profession as
as well as many members of her family. She began working in the
field in 1978 and completed her
designation in 1992, at which point she had already been in her
own practice for a year. She
began providing computer consulting along with solid accounting
knowledge. Her career path
has also been interspersed with a few years controller for an international
pump company and
assistant controller for a large lumber retailer. Cynthia's training,
however, has come primarily
from a number of well-known CA and CGA firms.
In addition to her CGA, Cynthia has a first-level
certificate from the Data Processing
Management Association, a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the
University of Calgary,
is at the last stages of completing the CICA In-depth tax course
and is currently enrolled
in the Computer Science and Information Systems program at Douglas
College.
Cynthia brings to the Kemp Harvey Group not only a
sound accounting and tax background,
which includes preparation of US personal returns, but also a strengthening
IT background
which is so valuable in any computerized environment. In a 1999
North Shore News Readers
Poll, under her married name, she was voted third most favorite
accountant on the North
Shore. In her spare time, Cynthia volunteers with the Burnaby /
Royal City Chapter of the
CGA Association, the British Columbia Genealogical Society and a
few local community groups.
