Don Goodison, CFP, FCGA |
Don has been in the accounting profession for
over 30 years. He has gained reputation as a tax specialist, particularity
in the area of corporate reorganizations. Don uses his extensive knowledge
of the Income Tax Act to provide his clients with sound tax planning
to enable them to retain as much of their hard earned income as legally
possible. As well, Don is a Certified Financial Planner, and provides
personal financial planning on a fee for service basis.
Don is a highly regarded seminar leader in the area
of taxation, and presents several seminars a year to CGA members
and students throughout B.C. He has represented CGA Canada at the
Budget Lockup in Ottawa, and appeared before the Commons Finance
Committee representing CGA Canada. Don is the author of a post graduate
course on Capital Gains which is offered by CGA Canada. For the
past 22 years, he has written a monthly column in the CGA Magazine.
Reader polls rate this column as being the most popular column in
the magazine. In 1994, Don was awarded CGA Canada's highest award,
the Fellow designation, in recognition of his contribution to the
association and the profession. In 2000 Don was awarded a Life Membership
by CGA BC. The Life Membership is the highest award that CGA BC
gives out and is for service to the association.
